The Model 4355 Bluetooth transceiver plugs into the dock connector of an iPod or iPhone. The transceiver can send the iPod's music or other audio out via a Class 2 Bluetooth wireless connection to Zoom's new Model 4380 headphones/headset, Zoom's model 4360 stereo receiver, and other Bluetooth-enabled stereo playback devices. Unlike competing Bluetooth transmitters, the model 4355 provides volume control from the iPod or iPhone. Plugged into an iPod, the miniature transceiver becomes a natural extension of the iPod.

Zoom Technologies has announced its new iHiFi Model 4355 Bluetooth transmitter for iPod and iPhone. The 4355 connects to the iPod or iPhone via Dock Connector, and features Bluetooth 1.2 technology, with support for both the A2DP and AVRCP profiles. Other features include two LED status lights, and volume output control buttons on the unit. The Zoom iHiFi Model 4355 is available by itself for $40, or as part of the $90 Model 4385 bundle that includes both the 4355 iPod transmitter and a pair of the company�s Model 4380 Bluetooth headphones/headset. Both the standalone transmitter and bundle are available now.

iLuv's i720 is a line-in iPod/iPhone and hands-free Bluetooth remote, with FM transmission and a caller ID display, plus call reject, transfer and other basic phone commands. It's small, black and fairly attractive and seems pretty useful for ardent multi-taskers.

A camera company has unveiled a portable printer for mobile phone images. Once famous for cameras that developed their own prints, Polaroid plans to market the printer in America later this year. The printers, which will also connect to digital cameras, require no ink, they use a thermal printing technology and special paper. The printers are slightly bigger than a deck of cards.Once connected to a phone or camera by Bluetooth wireless or the USB port, the printers need less than a minute to churn out 2-inch-by-3-inch prints pictures, which can be peeled off a backing and used as stickers. Sheets of paper for the device will cost about 40 cents (20p) each, less if bought in bulk.
